I am happy to say that [this is] the first time I was able to truly get over past grudges. For a long time I have resented some of the opportunities he got that I felt could have gone to me if things had worked out a little differently. Don’t get me wrong, [we’re] friends - but he was clearly the man, and sometimes that was a difficult pill to swallow.
I know being jealous sounds ridiculous in retrospect. But at this point I have finally come to terms with the fact that he deserves [it]. I can only imagine how cool it must be. It is a relief to no longer resent your friend but rather to see him as the ultimate proof that anything is possible.
superhero symbolizes every new acquaintance I seem to meet this year; grasshopper is me.
(sidenote: AND I HATE THE QUESTION THAT INEVITABLY LEADS UP TO THIS: “what are you planning on doing after you graduate?” STOP ASKING ME.)

ugh I hate this haha. I’m such an antisocial beez sometimes! I mean, it’s not like I don’t like the person. but sometimes I’m just looking forward to a nice time to myself with my music. …sometimes I actually leave or walk the other way to avoid this. LOL. yeah. I suck.
